Tour Description
This exclusive and unforgettable Bass Rock landing tour is organised by the Scottish Seabird Centre in partnership with BlueWild.
We sail you to the Bass Rock where a dedicated guide walks with you amongst the World’s largest colony of breeding and nesting northern gannets.
A lifetime ‘must’ for every keen ornithologist or seabird enthusiast. A photographer’s dream.
This tour means landing in conditions that some may find a little challenging.

Itinerary
From: North Berwick
Duration: Around 4 hours.
- Meet at the Scottish Seabird Centre 30 minutes prior to departure time.
- Sail 15 mins to the Bass Rock.
- Return to North Berwick.
Additional information
Please note that landings can be challenging and sometimes cancelled due to wind and sea conditions at the Rock which are quite different from the shore only a few miles away.
To minimise disturbance to seabirds, only a limited number of landings are available each year.
